The Plastic Flamingo, aka The Plaf, is a French social enterprise with a pilot project in the Philippines (Manila).
Our core mission is to tackle marine plastic pollution by collecting and recycling ocean-bound plastic waste in emerging countries with maximum social impact.
We started the venture in 2018 and we are now managing a plastic collection network of about 200 collection points in Metro Manila (schools, villages, condominiums, offices, stores, etc.) and have already collected more than 500 tons of plastic waste.
We also developed a large range of offers for individuals and corporations willing to offset their plastic footprint. We are one of the very few pioneer companies in the world inventing and spreading the plastic compensation concept (EPR & CSR).
We produce 100% recycled plastic eco-boards (compression molding process). We also have a carpentry workshop, where we design and manufacture various products made with our eco-boards, especially furniture pieces.
